Sometimes we let our imaginations run wild with the stories we are presented.For example, at face value, hearing of Sean Penn and James Franco filming a “love scene,” in the much talked about Gus Van Sant docu-pic “Milk”, is enough to cause me to auto-ejaculate.
Why is this so intense, you ask? Well to us simple homo’s, the idea of two hetero men going at it is the equivalent of what two ladies represents to the average straight man.
Silly? Perhaps… Hot? HELL Yeah! But after sitting through this flick I found Van Sant’s depiction of Harvey Milk’s relationships to be a little shy of what gay sex usually entails.
The film is brilliant on every front. Amazing performances by an incredible cast. And sure the kissing scenes (there are more than one,) are awesome but…
My only riff is for Van Sant and goes like this: ‘Why would you abstain from depicting a full on gay love scene when you had a willing and notable cast at your command?”
