Iowa Believes in Gay Marriage

In bbc, gay marriage, iowa, supreme court ruling on April 3, 2009 at 5:58 PM
Iowa’s Supreme Court said the ruling “reaffirmed that a statute inconsistent with the Iowa Constitution must be declared void, even though it may be supported by strong and deep-seated traditional beliefs and popular opinion” reports the BBC.

Thats an incredible correlation! If not a bit high-brow. But I applaud the forward mentality that has reached this decision, making them the 3rd state to officially believe we are all truly created equal.

I will shortly be looking to book myself a one way flight in Iowa’s direction to search for my very own husband! I just have to look it up on the map, cuz I’ll be damned if I know which way to head – I simply gravitate towards warm climates like SoBe on instinct….

Sadly, NY is still in the planning stages of this level of equality. WTF is that about?

Here is a video posting by Iowa State Senator Matt McCoy where he states “Iowa will not go back!”
