With little celebrity options to shoot and still reeling from a retrograde in the thermometer, I opted to swing by The Doe Fund’s “Friends of Doe Celebrity DJ Series” event, in downtown Manhattan.
The event touted Whitney Port and Olivia Palermo (here pictured,) as well as Christian Siriano, Kat DeLuna and Denise Vasi, on their roster of attendees. I figured this to be better than nothing having walked my ass out of the PEE event the night before! (I swear it’s hard to work with your own peeps!)
Now in truth, I have little clue who the hell Doe is but it wasn’t all in vain. You know the saying, if you learn something new everyday….
I came away with this: 1: Upper East Side-types are still commuting to the bowels of NYC to party with their friends and seem hip! (I thought this phenom would have come to a stop last decade… it hasn’t!) and 2: MTV’s reality show “The City” must be as vapid to watch on screen as it is being filmed.
See? I told you it wasn’t in vain.
