Johnny Depp has been named People Magazine’s 2009 “Sexiest Man Alive”. There’s a no brainer! His body (of work) is as well seasoned as adobo. Lick-able.
But who the hell needs the homely girls at People to tell you of his sexual prowess…? Really!
So when Depp’s name appeared on the roster of the MoMA Film Tribute to Tim Burton gala I knew I would be stopping by for a looks-see of the “21 Jump Street” alum. It just so happens that he has another one of his good director buddy’s dark creations set to debut in March of 2010 by way of the “Alice in Wonderland” remake (see trailer below.)
What I encountered was absolute mayhem. The fanatics were wound up tighter than a virgin in a brothel. And when Depp’s SUV was pulling up to the pricey institution, they swarmed the vehicle from all sides. One even opened the door as the car was still in motion.
Where was security during all this you ask? Being useless! From a photoline perspective this is not a good start. Their inept approach manning the event blundered his arrival and – well, the photo kinda drove on by in a clustery fashion… But I’m happy to have gotten a glimpse, if only momentary.
