Sad that our West Coast brethren weren’t afforded an unedited viewing of his performance, Something Lambert told Access Hollywood was nothing short of “Discrimination!”
He goes on to point out that “if I offended some people… it’s apples and oranges. I’m not an artist that does things for every single person. I believe in artistic freedom and expression, I believe in honoring the lyrics of a song, and those lyrics aren’t really for everybody either. There’s a big double standard, female pop artists have been doing things provocative like that for years, and the fact that I’m a male, and I’ll be edited and discriminated against could be a problem. People are scared and it’s really sad, I just wish people could open their minds up and enjoy things, it’s all for a laugh, it’s really not that big of a deal.”
I can’t say that I ever thought he was “soft and sweet” – in truth I don’t watch AI, so I haven’t chronicled his development or his music – just the romance. But damn if he hasn’t now captured my attention with his powerful vocals, unapologetic sexuality and in your face fuck you I’m gay attitude. (You paying attention Ricky?)

My only grievance now is his decision to race by the awaiting press line who waited on his arrival at the David Letterman taping on Monday (the show airs today at 11:00 pm.) I am seriously considering asking for that gay card back, Mr. Glam-bert! He made like there was a stiff pre-lubed gift basket in the green room coupled with a bow wrapped around a bubble ass!
I will forgive this however cuz he has achieved entertaining me and raised the level – ala Madonna style! Not an easy feat…
