Chris Evans: Captain America Hotness
Posted by Native NYker in captain america, chris evans on December 29, 2010
I am well aware that by now a lot of you have seen these here pulicity stills of fine ass Chris Evans as “Captain America.” The truth is I needed something to write about and I never tire of fantasizin about my tongue and Evans’ – well, everything! He is not only beautiful – that is one genetically gifted pool – but pretty straight forward, a gay equality advocate and talented to boot. What the hell is there not to like?
His flick as the all patriotic superhero won’t be out until July of 2011 but fret not… Time will pass and the Summer will once again rain sunshine.
I also never tire of looking at the Tony Moran photos of Evans on the bed. Wow, is all one can say. Just look at the curve in his back leading to… Damn!
I’ve gone and thrown a few additional pics including his Gucci ad which makes us wet…
Evans is quoted as having stated that he almost passed on this new role due to being scared. “I realized my whole decision making process was fear based, and you never want to make a decision out of fear. I can’t believe I was almost too chicken to play Captain America.”
Well his legions of fans – including us at the forefront – are all glad he overcame his trepidation and will don the Captain’s suit. We can’t thank him enough.

Jackie Guerrido: Guardian Society Toys for Bronx Tots
Posted by Native NYker in catholic guardian society and home bureau, fisher price toys, jackie guerrido on December 23, 2010
If you aren’t Latino you may not know who Jackie Guerrido is straight off the bat. But that is what Google is for… I can tell you she is a Latin TV personality and the soon to be rumored ex-wife of singer Don Omar. (Damn Latino’s like gossip!) She also happens to be one of this seasons finalist in the Latin version of Dancing with the Stars titled “Mira Quien Baila.”
She has a smoking body and as a proper Latina, has long beautiful flowing locks. That should be little surprise. No dignified Latina would be caught outdoors otherwise.
She also happens to be someone who volunteered her time last night to stop by the Catholic Guardian Society and Home Bureau for their annual Christmas toys for tots night, sponsored by Fisher Price toys. An evening dedicated to presenting xmas gifts to needy children in the Bronx.
We here at RTnM love helping out in any fashion we can when it comes to helping those who need, and we have always had a soft spot for non-profits. So justly, we packed up our equipment and hightailed it to the Grand Concourse to snap a few pics.
Generally speaking, in all our celebrity fueled endeavors, we often find that folks make more of celebrity than they should. Case and point: If you had seen the kids parents all riled up at the site of Guerrido you would have an exact idea of what we mean; but children on the other hand simply respond to kindness. And that they did with smiles and hugs and excitement at having their names called out by Santa’s helper and being presented with an early present at an event just for them.
As adults it’s easy to forget what that excitement is like. The simplicity of genuine innocence. No make-up, no fuss. Just a smile at a Santa and a pretty girl being nice to you and offering to take a photo with you.
So a big kudos to Guerrido for giving her time for a good cause, to the folks at the Guardian Society for putting this evening together and letting us par-take and to Fisher Price for making this sight possible for us.
And a big thank you to the fifty plus children ranging from toddlers to 7 for their enthusiasm and putting up with the grown ups crashing their party.
Feliz Navidad y prospero año nuevo a todos!

Mountain Creek: Wicked Fun Days
Posted by Native NYker in bxd, mountain creek on December 22, 2010
Admittedly, we here at RTnM are more of the sun worshipping type. Give us a beach, a bottle of water, some smokes and our Ipod and we are at peace paying homage to the sun gods. So to say that spending a day in the snow is something we don’t generally greet with open arms is a bit redundant. That is until the annual Mountain Creek ski/snowboarding intro days came to our attention.
Although we aren’t all that fond of the cold, we are very fond of all things new and adventurist. So when presented with the opportunity of learning a new sport, we jumped into Liberty and hightailed our still tanned ass out to Vernon, New Jersey to get re-acquainted with the thrill of being in the snow – ala when we were a kid.
We rallied a few of the BxD troops and off we were…
The two-day intro excursion – at the hands of Ingrid for ski day and David & his asst instructor Matt for snowboarding day – was a thrill we couldn’t have imagined possible. In fact it was downright wicked fun. Thnx guys!
Collectively, the staff of Mountain Creek is courteous and attentive – not always an easy combo. Not a bad experience in sight.
Granted that falling on our skinny ass – resulting in bruising no amount of Covergirl concealer can hide – hurt. The boarding in particular left us with 3 very memorable spills. We are not only sore in places we didn’t recall could feel but with a mighty twisted wrist. Lesson learned: take the damn watch off before climbing the fucking mountain!
We are, however, proud to say that not only did we cross the divide – you know Latinos aren’t made for the cold – but we rode the lift in spite of our fear of heights – kudos to Captain Mike for making it possible & keeping our ass from freaking out in a major way! Say nothing of the additional pointers.
Being the gluten for punishment & thrill seekers that we are – we are hooked! Trees watchout – Vermont here we come.
