Robert Downey Jr. at the NY "Sherlock Holmes" Premiere
Given that there hasn’t been anything going on in NYC that necessitates my leaving the comfort of my home, I have been occupying myself with a much-needed return to the basics of a workout routine. It is kicking my ass!
What I do have is a much deserved congratulatory note to send to Robert Downey Jr. on his Golden Globes’ “Sherlock Holmes” win! He was certainly a good ending to an otherwise somewhat lackluster show. And he is right he don’t hardly have anyone to have to thank cuz – well, its Robert Downey Jr.! He is brilliance.
Another much well deserved kudos goes to Mo’Nique for her win for her performance as that mess of a mom she plays in “Precious!” Amazing performance. Blows you away.
And a last kudos goes to Sandra Bullock for her role in “The Blind Side!” I love me a tear jerker flick and she delivered with sass!
On a flip side, I firmly believe that “Glee’s” Jane Lynch was R-O-B-B-E-D! That award should have been yours girl. ROBBED I say.
On a last note, my buddy Augustus begged that I make mention of a tidbit on Ryan Seacrest and his encounter with Vera Farmiga, who commented on her husband catching him in the steamroom at The Four Season’s hotel. Seacrest’s discomfort with the mention apparently translated into a very uncomfortable moment for him as he attempted to redirect the chat onto Clooney. Geee… I wonder why…?
