Caligula, the 1979 classic which blurred the line of porn and classic film, is scheduled for a 3D remake, reports BBC.

The film I largely attribute as the root of my outlook on group sex is being singled out by Tinto Brass as needing to be retold, refilmed and re-introduced to the world at large – in 3D. 

Hmmmm…

I would say this is an interesting gamble and a good use of millions of Euro’s – the film is scheduled to begin filming in Italy this May – but how the fuck do you improve on a film with a screenplay by Gore Vidal?  The same film that originally starred Dame Helen Mirren, Malcolm McDowell, Peter O’Toole, Sir John Gielgud and Teresa Ann Savoy? 

YOU DON’T, Dumbass! 

It is impossible to gather such a stellar cast and end with a story of unbridled hedonistic debauchery!  That is why the film is a C-L-A-S-S-I-C!

Brass intends on “revisit[ing] an abandoned project about a Roman emperor that was ruined by Americans,” quotes the BBC’s report.

Insulting a nation, and the folks who are ardent fans of the original work, is a far cry from starting on a good foot!

In 3D no less… This Caligula DVD owning fan thinks that what Brass needs is some strong ass medication and to release his sphincter!
