The latest in conscious eating has officially opened its doors to the public in NYC. Otarian Restaurant on Bleeker Street celebrated its grand opening last night with a little shin-dig attended by beauty Vanessa Williams – who is currently starring on Broadway in “Sondheim on Sondheim,” Mary Kate Olsen and Mark Indelicato. And you know I had to speed on down for it!
I daresay that the establishment’s mission statement (please visit the link above for the run down) is – at first glance – a foreign concept of epic proportions but once you take a moment to ponder the goods, it’s not a half way undoable lifestyle change. Let’s face it, McD’s ain’t helping anyone fight a bulge!
Don’t get twisted, I’m no vegan, I like meat with my salad – my ass can’t hardly afford to forego some protein, but I will certainly put Radhika Oswal’s trans-Atlantic import on my list of spots to stop at when in Greenwich Village. Hell if it isn’t centrally located! And I love the message of of “loving life, loving food, loving the planet!” Check! Now just need a man sent my way…
