Hard to fathom that yet another year has come and gone. It seems as if only last week that we were in the throes of coverage of the Tribeca Film Festival. But no! Its been a whole damn year. And with “The Union” world premiere kick-off event, held last night at the World Financial Plaza – cross from the WTC site – the mayhem got underway with a bevy of talent. Although, it appeared someone forgot to forward the memo to Sir Elton John and Mary-Kate & Ashley Olsen’s PR team. To call their time on the primary photo line a sprint would be an understatement. They more like made as if some Botox was being hidden in one of the gift bags and they wanted to make sure they got to it first.
Of course had this been the case we would have been all to happy to stick our leg out and trip their asses ala Showgirls style to up our chances of getting to the prime shit ourselves! Don’t think we are playing either…
Sir Elton made no apologies for his upbeat stride and we didn’t even have a moment to attempt a movement photo. The twins on the other hand – well, let’s just say that we managed to stick our hands thru the a divide and blindly pressed the shutter! Et voila…
Take that you trollish looking heifers!
Of course this drive by wasn’t without causing a ruckus amonst one or two paps who felt sligthed. One in particular voiced her dismay so loudly we all thought it was another Japanese aftershock. Not only passers by, security but the video segment of the assembly line all paused to see what the commotion entailed – likely in the hopes of procurring a story!
Other notable talents who opted for respecting their step-and-repeat assignments and dutifully put their best pose forward were: hotness Jeffrey Wright, Paul Dano with girlfriend Zoe Kazan, Zoe Kravitz, Andrew McCarthy, Susanna Hoffs, Mayor Bloomberg, Arianna Huffington, Anna Kendricks, Scott Glenn, Martin Scorsese, Dennis Leary, Rainn Wilson, Lauren Hutton and grown up Boy Meets World alum Rider Strong.
Stay tuned for more in the days to come! Joy.
