London-based thespian Eddie Redmayne (The Other Boleyn Girl) crossed the pond to help the NY Film Festival screen “My Week With Marilyn,” last night at Alice Tully Hall.
The film, based on the book, details a week-long affair his character allegedly participated in while working as an assistant on a film Monroe worked on years ago overseas. Redmayne goes opposite Michelle Williams as – take a guess – Marilyn Monroe.
We find it hard to digest as well…
So if your eyebrow shot up involuntarily don’t rush out to your local ER. It’s a natural response. But the word is that Williams is brilliant in the film and is a contender come award season.
We will reserve our
judgement opinion until a later date.
Redmayne, well he is always brilliant.
Sadly the other members of the cast – hotness Dominic Cooper, Dame Judi Dench, Emma Watson and Kenneth Branagh were absent.
Other notable attendees: Zac Posen, Coco Roca, Erin Wasson, Elizabeth McGovern, Gina Gershon, Kiera Chaplin and Jaime Colby.
