Alleged Dark Knight shooter James Holmes collage
We woke up early Friday morning to news of the Dark Knight midnight showing massacre out West. Horrified is a word that comes to mind. Nothing else could possibly describe a proper reaction to the proceedings where a dozen movie goers were murdered and dozens more injured resulted without provocation – were there any such that could exist. We tend to have a penchant for midnight screenings, personally. They are generally frequented only by true die-hard fans of any given film that seldom feel compelled to engage in commentary about what they are viewing on screen, something which as it all too often the case the rest of the time.
We dutifully followed all released info and our initial thoughts prevail… What would prompt such a heinous act?
With the alleged culprit identified and a deluge of assumed material on the sociopath being reported, we remain to be as shocked as ever. And our questions remain… Like what would push an otherwise seemingly smart young man from San Diego to go ballistic, unprovoked, on an unsuspecting audience full of theater goers.
And then, as if the story weren’t heinous enough, a photo is published of what some have reported to be Holmes’ AdultFriendFinder.com profile picture where he is sporting red hair – much like what is said to be what he sported during his acts in the Aurora, Colorado shootings. And our eyebrow immediately shot up!
The photo bares little, if any, resemblance to the previously released photos from his High School year book and his University of Colorado Denver ID.
And this goes to what little integrity our present news sources have. We find such acts reprehensible and nothing short of tabloid mentality seeking to sensationalized an otherwise sensational moment.
Never mind that the forehead and nose don’t match. Is the slaughtering of 12 people not enough to stand alone as headlining news? Is the need to fabricate a sex advertisement really required?
So we had to go and compile a triptych of these images for your own review and give you side by side by side depictions.
You would think that the act at hand would be enough for law enforcements to muddle through without having to go looking into and wasting their time investigating such nonsense!
And on a side note… What mother readily quips “you have the right person,” to the media about her accused son’s alleged acts? This reported statement by ABC News leads us to think that the Holmes’ house hold may have been privy to young Holmes’ mental instability long before this came to pass.
WTF!

Just because his family’s household may have had an idea does not mean anything. He was 24 yrs old, an adult. Even if his parents had reported something to the police department, the police department would just tell them that “he hadn’t done anything yet and they can’t do anything until he does”. You can’t lock him up in a mental ward, he has to willingly go himself or be sent by a judge. Don’t pass the blame off (typical society, blame it on someone else), this was HIS fault, NOT his family’s.
