Savannah Dietrich faces contempt of court charges for twitting her molesters’ names after they received a plea-deal in the sex crime case.
Meet Savannah Dietrich. She is a 17 year old Louisville, KY sex crime victim who is now facing charges for publicly releasing the names of her attackers Will Frey III and Austin Zehnder. Wow, you say? Wait for it… The very court she entrusted to protect her against her two assailants – who happen to be Lacrosse players in her home state – is now looking to penalize her for coming out publicly and identifying the perverted twosomes’ acts, which not only include molesting the teen while she was passed out at a party but documented their acts by taking photos and then circulating them.
Ain’t that some shit? Top drawer these two are…
Dietrich was so outraged learning that the court – headed by Judge Dee McDonald – offered her attackers a “deal,” as she sat in the courtroom, that she took to twitter to publicly name her attackers in-spite of the courts issuing a gag-order against such.
She is now facing contempt of court charges that could land her in jail for 180 days and fined up to $500.00 for violation of said court order – and this comes at the request of the attorneys for the guilty duo.
Well, kudos to Dietrich we say!
The act executed by these two sickos itself is heinous enough. You don’t take advantage of someone passed out to get your rocks off and document your exploits and deserve leniency!
That’s foul. And if that’s what you are doing at this age, just imagine what they will be up to in the years to come. College female student body BEWARE!
“I was crying as she (the judge) was reading that,” Dietrich is quoted in an interview with the Courier-Journal. “They got off very easy … and they tell me to be quiet, just silencing me at the end.”

Since the hearing is currently still in process I am going to have to ask you to please initial the boys names. I cannot have their names going out. 2 adjustments, the courier journal got it wrong. Voyeurism was actually a felony charge. And their lawyers actually wanted me to apologize to the boys, pay restitution, take down the tweet and follow the order. I do not wish to damage the boys reputation, but I do not wish to protect it either. And where it stands right now their names cannot get out. Thank you.

She wasn’t raped. She was sexually molested. Any time a girl gets drunk and later regrets sexual activity she can claim rape and free herself from any responsibility for her own actions. She is butt-hurt about her legal representation and so disobeyed a court order. She had other avenues such as defamation of character law suits against the guilty. She could have also gone for trumped up “distribution of pedophilia images” since she was underage. Instead she violated the law. The court did hit these two young men with sentences. They were light because of the nature of what was done. Keep in mind this was NOT rape. No penetrative sex took place. Instead of trying people in the media and online why don’t you let the courts do their job?

We would, but it is good ole boy Kentucky. The criminals names are going out all over the place. I hope they pay for the rest of their lives for their crimes. They were old enough to know not to “molest” as you say this woman. I suggest they change their names and move far away. Not to Texas either. We shoot perverts here.

Sure, it might be nice to imply these ‘perverts’ would be shot in Texas, but I’m sure there are others who would say that the definition of ‘perverts’ would include gays, too. Then where would we be? We should be civilized enough to let the courts deal with it.

How do you KNOW it wasn’t rape? Actually, you DON’T know that. So don’t even pretend to know details when you weren’t there. Your premise is completely wrong. The details are sealed in the courthouse and not to be heard by a jury if the defense lawyers get their way. This wasn’t a “light” crime. And quite frankly, no need to trump up any charges for defamation. What they did violated the law by way of felony. What did she do? …Hmmm…. misdemeanor….

I hope they will be on a national sex offender register with their photos. Frankly, I want to know who my neighbors are. I think they should be kicked off their team and college scholorships withheld to further education the young woman they raped and violated her privacy. I think it is time fo jerks like this to be exposed and the judical system kicks their butts hard. Maybe having a public caining could be appropriate or a permanent mark tatooted on their forehead.

Sure, she was upset about it. Doesn’t mean she can take the law into her own hands, does it? What if someone decides to go all vigilante and beat those two into a pulp? No doubt, that would be a good thing, right? If she trusted the court to protect her, she can’t go against its wishes if she doesn’t like the outcome. Lawyer up and go for a civil suit, I’m sure there would be many who would take the case pro bono if she feels she didn’t get justice.
And if nothing else she should be aware of the Streisand effect. The hunt will be on across the internet now for ‘Savannah Dietrich rape pics’

Why do your photo captions say the rapists are only “alleged”? They pleaded guilty as part of the plea deal. No need to continue pretending they might be innocent.

Can you fill in some details? How long did they have pictures of their crime posted on Twitter? Whose account? Both? Savannah, we’re behind you. Hopefully the public outrage will shame the judge into reversing the threat of contempt of court. Otherwise, fight this all the way to the Supreme Court. The judge has no right to restrict your freedom of speech

No court has the authority to deny you the right to freely speak of your own experiences. The court has the right to protect information which is revealed through legal proceeding, thus depending on what information this young woman released, she likely doesn’t fall into the category of strangers reporting facts learned through court proceedings.

Considering they will never be on the KY sex offenders website, at least you should have the following info:

They both play for the Bluegrass Bats Lacrosse Team http://www.bluegrassbats.coms Look at the “donor” page. One financial supporter of the team is the Kentucky Department of Juvenile Justice. Go to the DJJ webpage and see that one of the people responsible for distributing State grants (money!) is Laura McCoun McCauley, whose son Ryan McCauley is a defenseman and Trinity HS student with the rapists. So if DJJ financially supports the team, and they are tied to the juvenile court system in KY, does something stink about how the judge has silenced the raped girl and quietly plea bargined a light deal?? ARRRGGGGHHHH!!!!!

I cannot defend Savannah Dietrich. She was at a party and drinking. She probably was doing other things too like acting trashy. Probably asked for it. Sorry. I’m not saying that rape is okay and I’m not defending the guys but the girl should have known she wasn’t with the right crowd. Plus people are saying she wasn’t even raped or stripped. People are saying she was topless (by her own will) and passed out and the guys just took pics. There are 2 sides to every story. She shouldn’t have been there at the party!
