William Balfour receives life sentencing for the triple of murder of Jennifer Hudson’s mother, brother and nephew.
William Balfour, the man found guilty of murdering singer Jennifer Hudson’s mother, brother and young nephew, in 2008, has been handed three life sentencings, reports state. A Cook County judge handed down the life behind bars decision, for the triple murder, on Tuesday.
Circuit Judge Charles Burns denied a request from Balfour’s attorney for a new trial, reports USA Today.
Balfour, Hudson’s brother-in-law, was convicted of the heinous acts a little over a year ago and is believed to have gunned down the trio after a jealous rage involving his estranged wife dating another man.
Although no sentencing can bring back Hudson’s loved ones, we do hope this brings some type of closure for the talented American Idol alum after having gone through such a horrific tragedy.
