Some movies arrive with a built in audience. The Bourne Legacy happens on being one of those flicks. Sure the man that made the Bourne movies a sensation – Matt Damon – bowed out and is now a revamp starring Jeremy Renner, alongside Rachel Weisz, Edward Norton, Oscar Isaac and Louis Ozawa Changchien, but the driving force behind the genre is fully intact – if the trailer is any indication.
We pulled double duty to take part in the world premiere for the 4th installation of a series that we have come to love and were only slightly disappointed in that the films’ cast members hurried down the red carpet as if trying to beat the crown to get into the loo at the Ziegfeld Theater in midtown last night.
No matter, we have a duty to fulfill in sitting through this latest segment to the kick ass story.
And we have every faith that Damon will, at some point, reprise his Jason Bourne character!
