Yes, we are Hunger Games’ fans. How could we not be? Yes, we have appreciated Jennifer Lawrence’s delivery on screen. We did not, however, appreciate her arrogance and drive-by exit post her David Letterman taping recently.
We were amongst the die-hard crowd gathered hoping the the newly crowned Golden Globes winner would afford gathered line of photogs – three rows deep – an opportunity of a proper, if albeit brief, photo-op before jumping into her awaiting SUV.
And we will go as far as to say that the gathered hoard of fans waiting across the street hoping to procure an autograph were equally disappointed.
Lawrence exited, in black ensemble from head to toe, and all but sprinted into her chariot leaving a trail of “booos” in her dust from paps and fans alike. (We know you heard it Ms. Thing!)

Except there are several videos of her signing autographs throughout her appearance. And this idea that celebrities must stop everything, put off any and all plans and forego the slightest possibility of having the semblance of a normal life to sign autographs every single time or be branded “ungrateful” is absurd. No one can live up to that and no one should. There is a time and a place for autographs, for pictures and for intrusion on a person’s life and privacy. The simple rule is how you yourself would handle things if you were in another person’s shoes. Somehow I doubt you would do all that well. Also the paps and professional autograph seekers that hound celebrities are pure garbage.
