Hugh Jackman: Driving Miss Daisy Opening

Beloved Wolverine Hugh Jackman attended Vanessa Redgrave and James Earl Jones’ ”Driving Miss Daisy” Broadway opening this week, looking dapper than any mutant should be allowed. We like him rough and tough around the edges – what can we say…
But that isn’t to say we would turn him away, no how.
In his gracious fashion, we excused ourselves and ask the down under star for a quick photo and hotness complied with a smile.
We wish we could figure out how is it that we can’t find a likeminded individual to play house with us… but lest we digress.
This show may not be on our immidiate roster of “must attend” great white way productions – we didn’t much care for the movie either – but we do love ourselves some Vanessa Redgrave. She is all things dignified and talented. A true artist.
So should we come across a free tix to the show we will polish up our Prada shoes and sashay on over and shout Brava to the British thespian…
The revival also saw the likes of Brooke Shields, Brian Denehy, Joely Richardson, Joel Grey, Isabella Rossellini and Voldemort himself – Ralph Fiennes in attendance, among others.
The Other Guys: World Premiere

“The Other Guys’” world premiere took place in NYC last night. And the step-and-repeat seemed to go on for a lifetime – even with some cast members missing.
We rarely get THE premiere here in gotham – sometimes we get overlooked entirely. Salt for instance! So this truly was a big to do.
Eva Mendes rocked a grey cocktail dress and black stilettos – the bow was diviine girl!, while her costars Will Ferrell, Mark Wahlberg and Ray Stevenson looked all so handsome.
But it was Ray Stevenson who caught my attention. Why, you may ask? Well you might recall him from the HBO “Rome” series. He played that kickass alpha-male with a heart of gold. On the carpet he exuded testosterone and I was giddywith excitement. I swear I wanted to leap into his arms and find myself protected and manhandled! (Don’t you judge now…)
Also in attendance were the yummy Bobby Cannavale, Steve Coogan, Damon Wayans Jr. and Mr. Samuel L. Jackson – who I happened to spot at Jones Beach a few weeks ago sporting a Speedo. No, I didn’t have time to snap a photo. The camera is not attached to a limb I tell y’all!
Other notable attendees: Brooke Shields, Lindsay Sloan, Jimmy Fallon, Rob Thomas, Zoe Lister Jones – wearing what can only be described as a “American Pie faux-pas – and Tess Kartel.

Gwyneth Paltrow in a black sequined one-shouldered strap Michael Kors gown at the 2010 CFDA Fashion Awards in NYC
The annual fete known as the CFDA Fashion Awards are 2nd only to one other fashion event in NYC. We wont mention it at this juncture – surely you know of what we speak, if you are in know. And if you aren’t then there ain’t no point in discussing it anyway, so we’ll just move along…
The event gets a long list of beauties in attendance – from all the nominees who it looks to celebrate, to the perfect catwalk bodies who bi-annually strut the frocks on runways worldwide onto the luminaries who deliver their perfectly stitched message to the masses on red carpets coverage. The night is all about acknowledging fashion, sweety.
This years event, once again held at Lincoln Center’s Alice Tully Hall, could easily go down as one of its all time greatest – ever.
Major highlights of major frock wearers on the guest list: Sarah Jessica Parker, Rachel Weisz, Jessica Biel, Dakota Fanning, Hilary Rhoda, Brooke Shields, Whitney Port, Iman, The Olsen Twins, Molly Sims, Carmen Kaas, Maggie Grace, Emilie de Ravin, Dree Hemingway, Devon Aoki wearing Zac Posen and a Mickael Kors clad Gwyneth Paltrow - who all respectively que’ed for a drive by on the step-and-repeat.
And all looked A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!
So here’s to all the nominees – whoever you all were; the winners – you are all winners in RTnM’s book, and of course fashion patrons everywhere!
