This should get a whole herd of folks riled up. CNN anchor Anderson Cooper finally addresses his long-time official sexual orientation non-disclosure with a letter, published on The Daily Beast, officially and matter of factly stating his gayness. “The fact is, I’m gay, always have been, always will be, and I couldn’t be any more happy, comfortable with myself, and proud,” states Cooper.
And the chorus sings.
Truth is we’ve always known and only wished it were us kneeling at his feet in praise. But given that we haven’t been afforded the opportunity to taste hotness we haven’t cared much. Live and look for a welcoming zipper is our motto.
But some would and often argue that his high-profile presence would be a welcomed champion, or beacon if you will, for gay youths nationwide.
Well now you have it!
What else can be said of the declarative statement?
For those who didn’t believe, I reckon its definitive. For those of us who knew – but really didn’t care one way or the other cuz we’d have gladly ridden that ride moaning ‘si, papi – eres mi pecado mortal’ – it’s of little consequence. It is what it is!
We here at RTnM don’t condone “outing” someone – there really isn’t any justification. Nor are we of the belief that folks have a commitment to give us affirmation for our own wicked ways. We much prefer to run our own race into our own sack.
But Martin has gone and done it and we salute the Puerto Rican hotness never the less. It has been stated with thought, dignity and self-respect. Take that Barbra Walters!
“To keep living as I did up until today would be to indirectly diminish the glow that my kids were born with. Enough is enough. This has to change. This was not supposed to happen 5 or 10 years ago, it is supposed to happen now. Today is my day, this is my time, and this is my moment,” Martin is quoted as stating.
“These years in silence and reflection made me stronger and reminded me that acceptance has to come from within and that this kind of truth gives me the power to conquer emotions I didn’t even know existed,” he goes on to proclaim.
Ain’t nothing more we can say on this cept to continue to wish papi all the best. BTW Ricky, we are single!
American Idol runner up, turned Broadway resident (really, how was there ever any doubt,) turned sperm-donor (although I have heard, from credible sources, he’s the active party in the man-on-man action so he could have easily topped her; aint that something!) turned gay role-model for his infant son, says it loud and clear on the cover of People! “Yes, I’m Gay!” Wow! Really? Get Out…
Why else would anyone state they are a homo these days were it not for the cover of People? its like a right of passage into affirmation… suck dick? lick twat? come clean in people and be baptized into mainstream acceptability – and be proud.
Oh well, homos left and right have been jonesing for this for sometime (Ms. Princess alone has shed a few pounds all the while stuffing a kit-kat in her mouth) – as if another celebrity homo will bring about the gay Messiah… so now we have it! Sad part is that gays always want more and it won’t be long before everyone forgets whats-his-name and turns to speculate on the next suspected under-cover homo… People should scrap this cover cuz this is already yesterdays news.
