Emma Stone: The Croods NYC Premiere
Posted by Native NYker in celebrities, emma stone, entertainment, fashion, red carpet, the croods premiere on March 10, 2013
We don’t always approve of what folks go and try to pull off but we certainly make concessions. Case and point… We love ourselves some Emma Stone. She is runway beauty ready and has a raspiness to her voice that is just damn sexy. She also happens to be talented to boot! And that she is dating our beloved Andrew Garfield doesn’t detract in the least either. Read the rest of this entry »
Rooney Mara: February Vogue Covergirl Issue Controversy
Posted by Native NYker in anna wintour, annie leibovitz, fashion, hurricane sandy, rooney mara, superstorm sandy, vogue magazine on January 19, 2013
Rooney Mara graces the cover of the February Vogue Magazine issue, looking splendid. ’But of course,’ you would say. ’It is Vogue!’ And you would be right. Although in this case it might be of slight mention that a five year old could photograph Mara, with a point-and-shoot, and get a cover quality shot with ease as that girl is striking.
But “The Girl with The Dragon Tattoo” star isn’t what the issue is getting attention for – OH NO – although to her credit it’s her mug being associated with the controversy.
The February issue of Anna Wintour’s bible is presently coming under fire for a fashion spread therein contained. An Annie Leibovitz’s 12 page spread. Read the rest of this entry »
Sandra Bullock: Blind Side Premiere
Posted by Native NYker in fashion, red carpet arrivals, sandra bullock, the blind side premiere, upcoming movies on November 18, 2009
I’m a sap for stories like Sandra Bullock’s new flick “The Blind Side.” I get all weepy and completely buy into the ‘lets do good for our fellow man’ shit.I try to rid myself of this, but I simply can’t.
Let’s face it… no other woman can deliver the pretty and down to earth girl next-door performance with just the right dose of enough comedy thrown in to sell it – wrapped in a bow!
Work it out, Ms. Bullock!

The Glamour “Women of the Year” awards rolled around once again and parked themselves at Carnegie Hall last night. But of all their estrogen laden guests expected, it was this years’ beat-down honoree – Ms. Rihanna, herself, that brought the kids out in droves.
Charlize Theron: Sizzling in Lace

South African beauty and OSCAR winner – Charlize Theron, arrived sans her hotness of a man, Stuart Townsend, to the Tom Hanks soiree on Manhattans’ UWS, earlier this week.
Clad in a basic black lace cocktail dress and some strappy stilettos, she pulled off pure radiance.
Say what one can about Theron, (and I could a few things,) girl can work some glamour.
I just couldn’t let the event come and go and not put this pic to use. Those shoes rocked!
Evan Rachel Wood: Whatever Works!

When beauty steps onto a red carpet the general saying is “Whatever Works!”
When that beauty is Evan Rachel Wood – arriving on cue for her debuting film – you better damn sure utilize that phrase and work whatever you need out to make the moment come to pass!
Proclaim your love for dress, new hair color, stilettos, the beauty that was, is and will be combined – you get the picture! (Don’t you judge me… I meant every word!)
And so went the official Tribeca Film Festival kick off with Woody Allen’s film at the Ziegfeld Theater, last night.
Seriously, girl shined in her ballerina inspired basic black number!
Well Heeled Adams

Amy Adams was among the A-listers to grace the carpet at the National Board of Review Awards at Cipriani 42nd Street, this year.
She is a trooper that one! And her presence was merely to pick up the award for Best Ensemble Cast for the film “Doubt.”
Pay some close attention to the right foot in the photo. That’s a well formed arch if there was ever one! That’s how you rock a Louboutin heel!
Girl was on full releve!
