Marion Cotillard: The Ladies at The Dark Knight Rises World Premiere

French Beauty and OSCAR winner Marion Cotillard attends The Dark Knight Rises world premiere in NYC.

The summer movie of 2012 that we all have been waiting for brought its world premiere to Gotham last night accompanied by a bevy of beauties.  The Dark Knight Rises leading ladies, OSCAR winner Marion Cotillard and the newest member of the feline on-screen species Anne Hathaway were joined by Junot Temple, Michelle Trachtenberg, cropped hair Bahamian Zoe Kravitz and Hailee Steinfeld on the black carpet which spanned a city block.

Let’s face it y’all, this Batman installment will by far blow all that have come before and after clear out of the waters.  ‘Spider who’ some will be saying…  And yes, we are fully on board!

It’s only fitting that this would mark the 1st stop for the film given the use of NY as its backdrop.

And for that we thank the powers that be!

As for rumors swirling on Hathaway’s alleged pregnancy…  She sure wasn’t showing any indication of such in her virginal white gown.

Matthias Schoenaerts: Blood Ties NYC Film Set

Matthias Schoenaerts on the set of Blood Ties in NYC

There is little doubt that Belgian actor Matthias Schoenaerts’ star is presently on the Hollywood rise fast track.  But it’s hardly an overnight phenom.  Schoenaerts has been garnering attention since his first film role in Daens at the tender age of 15 – a film which received an OSCAR nomination.  Most recently, and at the ripe age of 35, Schoenaerts received a bevy of attention during the Cannes Film Festival 2012 ceremonies on the French Riviera alongside Marion Cotillard for their film De rouille et d’os (Rust and Bone.)

All eyes were devouring his well suited frame!  Ourselves included – if only via all the coverage.

So what happens to a strapping piece of hotness after being the Cannes darling?  You bring your fine ass to the good ole US of A and rejoin your OSCAR winning costar – and her long-time common-law husband Guillaume Canet – to film a new role in Blood Ties, alongside Zoe Saldana, James Caan, Mila Kunis and Clive Owen!

Not a bad follow up, we think.

We stopped by the UWS NYC set of the Canet directed film and felt a tickle when we spotted the tall handsome man coming down the street.  At the onset, we knew not who he was as he was in costume and wearing a hoodie.   (Sue us!)

But low and behold, we soon discovered his identity and made the connection with a series of images from a Cannes photo-call not that many weeks ago.

Que beau!

And as our heart skipped a beat at all the yumness parading by us, we were thrilled to experience his good natured-ness.  Schoenaerts even took the time to accommodate a lone fans request for a photo.  (Take a lesson Billy Crudup!)

Marion Cotillard: Met Gala Beauty

Marion Cotillard Shines at The Met's Costume Institute Gala in NYC

I often profess my penchant for all things French.  The food – YUM, the country – mon favorite, and the people – the men in particular (I just gave myself the vapors,) but French woman have something that is hard to duplicate as well.  Marion Cotillard is a perfect example!  Beauty oozes from her effortlessly.

The Oscar winner shined during her step-and-repeat at The Costume Institute Gala earlier this week in her shimmery gown and million dollar jewels!

I know the fierce piece resting on Cotillard’s lovely neck were on loan – we are talking bout potentially seven figure gems here – but the company should just take the loss and bestow them to her as a gift for keeps cuz – as I told her during the arrivals line ‘no one else will ever be able to wear em as fabulously as you do again.  EVER!’

She then smiled and thanked me for my kind words.  You see what I mean about the French?  Vive la France!

Madonna Takes Lourdes to Nine!

Mother and Daughter Take in Nine NY Premiere

Rob Marshall’s big screen adaptation of “Nine” promised to be a big end of the season bang.  What with the entire cast expected including Fergie’s significant other – Josh Duhamel, it couldn’t possibly be anything other than intense.  As such, photographers commenced their line-up list at midnight for a six o’clock arrivals event.

Over the top?  Possibly.

The event did not disappoint, Fergie, Josh Duhamel (who ran off so as to not steal his squeezes thunder,) Marion Cotillard with beau (who also ran off,) Kate Hudson with mom Goldie Hawn (sans ex A-Rod,)  Penelope Cruz, Pedro Almodovar, Nicole Kidman, Daniel Day Lewis and Dame Judi Dench all paid their stop-and-repeat dues.

But when Madonna turned up with her daughter Lourdes Leon the press line erupted into literal screams of OMFG!  I kid you not, those were the exact words out of one of my colleagues upon Madge’s entrance onto the red-carpet.  “I can’t wait to see this,” Madonna stated.  Girl can steal a spotlight.

Nine Trailer

Nine is coming my way!

No, I don’t mean inches… lord knows thats harder to get your hands on than, well, eight inches!

I mean the screen adaptation of the famed musical that starred Antonio Banderas on the Broadway stage.

The Rob Marshall big screen adaptation stars chameleon Daniel Day Lewis, Nicole Kidman, Penelope Cruz (don’t get me started!) and French Oscar winner – Marion Cotillard, here pictured at the Costume Institute Gala! (Thanks Popbytes for bringing it to my attention!)

This looks to be as promising as Chicago!

Marion Cotillard: Galliano Muse!

The Costume Institute Gala is to NY what the OSCARS’ are to LA. Simple as that really. No other East Coast event brings the magnitude of (international) celebrity and challenges to a camera shutter!

Seriously, it gets so cluster fucked on the stairs that you have to start ushering the non-essential, yet fashion clad, could-be’s, wanna-be’s and never will-be’s up the grand red-carpeted stairs!

Now, this sounds rude but I assure you there is no side stepping it if you are to get to the REAL attractions!

“That’s enough, move it along – Thank You!” was one of my neighbors fave line! “Let them go!” stated another as an A-lister made their way to our stop…

So these very lines I instituted when I spotted French ingenue and OSCAR winner – Marion Cotillard, escorted by non other than uber designer, John Galliano!

Je t’adore, Mademoiselle Cotillard!

Cotillard Scales Tower

Here is the new ad for French house of all things couture: Christian Dior.

The photo features Oscar winner for Best Actress – Marion Cotillard, scaling the iron works of the famed Eifel Tower.

Cotillard got into some trouble just after her win for making some comment that was reported as anti-American. Assuredly taken out of context by the media but, well, you know how Americans get over non-sense… Recall the “french fries” scandal. Enuf said…

I still luv the French import, however. And this ad features her as one more glamour queen! Everything about this photo screams Vive la France! Brava, Cotillard, Brava!
