Dakota Fanning: Very Good Girls Battery Park City Set

Dakota Fanning and Peter Sarsgaard photographed on the set of Very Good Girls in Battery Park City.

The alluring call of a film set that boasts multiple a-list cast members is hard to resist!  Very Good Girls, presently filming throughout the NYC area, starring Dakota Fanning, Peter Sarsgaard, Elizabeth Olsen, Jake Gyllenhaal and Demi Moore, happens on being one of those goings on that folks rush to – ourselves included.

At times, however, life gets in the way -day jobs, doctors appts, mass transit, you get the idea – and or the lack of factual intel can hinder a timely visit but, in the end, one must pay it a visit.

This was the goings on for us but no matter, paid a visit we did.

We dashed over to the Battery Park City location yesterday, post a training late morning, in the vainest attempts of catching a glimpse of Moore and/or Gyllenhaal, given that we have visited the set previously before, but as luck would have it it only happened on Fanning and Sarsgaard.

We were shocked and dismayed!  Partly cuz we didn’t realize the Sarsgaard was the scruffy sidekick accompanying Fanning back to the awaiting car post filming aboard a NYC ferry on the Hudson River.

Our bad!

But damn is we didn’t recognize him once we commenced editing our photos.

It’s not Gyllenhaal – pretty ass MF that he is – but a talented individual who embodies a wide range as far as the acting chops go.

We also happened on this here posted photo of a most handsome individual who we are not able to find any information on…  We’d greatly appreciate it if any of you recognize said hottie and forward us his name.

Dear readers – please share the hotties identity should you recognize him! He is presently working on the set of Very Good Girls in NYC.

Dakota Fanning and Elizabeth Olsen: Very Good Girls Brighton Set

Dakota Fanning and Elizabeth Olsen film Very Good Girls on the streets of Brighton Beach – Brooklyn.

The set of Very Good Girls parked themselves in Brighton Beach – Brooklyn, yesterday to film scenes with Dakota Fanning and her co-star Elizabeth Olsen.  And before you ask – NO, Demi Moore was not on set!  Good times with youngsters, you might chirp.  And some folks would immediately heed the want to chime in.  But how wrong you all would be.  Well, it was a good time but not due to the two on hand, we make our own fun.  In truth the two darlings were less than receptive to the hoard of photogs trawling the exterior set while they repeatedly filmed a scene on a local street corner.

‘Who can blame them,’ you might want to throw in at this point.  As many do right before they run up to the celeb – camera phone in hand – requesting a photo with the available star…  But that’s a different posting altogether.

Fanning is someone we truly have a soft spot for having watched her – both on screen and on red carpets for many a year – go from an awkward child star to a tall coming of age young one. Talent intact.

But this preexisting history has a tendency of letting the mind play tricks on reality.  (We never said we were grounded in it, dammit!)  It’s like you think that by having watched said youngster grow before your eyes, they have somehow retained the sweet child qualities they once had or will somehow know how much you have admired their accomplishments.  A bit unbalanced, for sure!  You don’t rightly know them from Adam, but still your mind persists on playing that trick on you.

And so when the party at hand goes and gets all testy and snarly, you can’t help the reflex response of going ‘wow!’

But to clarify on who we attempt to refer to with this mental fart we mean Dakota Fanning, for certain.  Cuz we don’t know two cents worth of anything Elizabeth Olsen did before her famous family name procured her an agent and tabloid attention.  And if you are having trouble identifying who her counter parts are just think Troll looking twin sisters and you will have identified the culprits.  And Liz…  Thank you for flipping us the bird!  You are all class act you are.  Our agency appreciates the gesture.
