SoBe Recap

Happy New Year! Feliz ano nuevo & bonne annee! It’s fucking 2010. Can you believe it? Unreal. SoBe has been a whirlwind of activity – albeit a bit chilly one. (It’s incredible how 60 degrees can feel like the frigid temp back home when your without a heavy jacket!)
From a quick bite on my arrival at Joe’s Stone Crab with birthday boy and bestest friend Anthony and crew to few bottles of Cliquot at Balans Restaurant (my fave spot in SoBe) with my two girlfriends – Flaminia and Serena, on NYE before hopping over to and crashing a party at The Mondrian to closing down not only Bal Harbour Mall (Needless Markup!) but also Aventura Mall, it has been non-stop! Didn’t know I still had it in me. My deepest apologies for my absence but duty called and I answered it pronto.
A few highlights? Jared Leto walking on Lincoln Rd in a red plaid shirt and tousled hair, looking a bit too thin but beauty is his constant companion – I’d mount him in a NY minute. Julio Iglesias Jr. looking all grown up and as yummy as Spaniard’s can be at the W Hotel Lounge (drinks are a staggering $20 a pop – attitude is free!) Jaime Fox at the Wall Club at the W Hotel wearing shades and flanked by white women. Having seen his nude self-pic (I have it posted on here, look it up!) I envied every one of them. Even with all his attitude I’d get on it right quick.
Cold temps aside, although it has been exhausting it has been all too much fun celebrating the arrival of a new decade with friends. The only absence has been you all to share it with… But I do hope this makes up for part of it. Until soon.

We common folk made due with the likes of the dashing and way-charismatic Josh Brolin and his beard (just joking!), the ever beautiful Diane Lane, Elizabeth Banks in an orange floor length gown, Tara Retes on the arm of cutie – Jesse Bradford, the handsome and rugged thespian – Jeffrey Wright on the beautiful arm of his wife and the nights pied de resistance: Thandie Newton, who wowed in a basic black cocktail dress by Lanvin and that Brit accent.
