Gael Garcia Bernal is joined by John Stewart and Maziar Bahari at the NY Rosewater premiere

Mexican export, Gael Garcia Bernal, is award nomination bound, if the buzz around his new film “Rosewater,” which had its NY premiere last night, is to be banked on.  The 35-year-old “Amores Perros” break out star and cross-over talent is even OSCAR bound, by some accounts.

Wouldn’t be completely shocking.  Biteable lips, bewitching eyes and an abundance of talent too boot – a total package which make Bernal mesmerizing on screen.   Read the rest of this entry »

Winona Ryder pays Show Me a Hero a visit

Fact:  Actress Winona Ryder defined an era.  From iconic roles in Beetlejuice, Girl Interrupted and Reality Bites, her name was synonymous with talent and her face became the poster child for a certain disenfranchised generation.  So it was little surprise she was enveloped as the perennial Hollywood ingenue.

Then, one day, seemingly overnight, the go-to it-girl of the big screen vacated her title, and there was nothing to report about her – personally or professionally.  Her return to the screen has been much talked about – just don’t call it a comeback.

Oscar Isaac makes a speedy get-away from his Show Me a Hero trailer on a rainy day

Shooting photos of Oscar Isaac on the HBO mini-series production of “Show Me a Hero” has proved more difficult than not.  It seems Isaac isn’t feeling the love stemming from our lens. Total bummer as it is pointed in his direction with nothing but…

But Mr. Man hides from us, on the set, at first chance, and shooting him trailer side is even less fruitful.

We kid you not…   Read the rest of this entry »

oldspice-terrycrewsTerry Crews is a favorite of ours.  No lying – we are ardent fans of his and find that he embodies many attributes one hopes to find in a celebrity – being a nice guy among them.  It also doesn’t hurt that the body is slamming, he doesn’t take himself too seriously and has an unmatched comedic timing.
