Mexican export, Gael Garcia Bernal, is award nomination bound, if the buzz around his new film “Rosewater,” which had its NY premiere last night, is to be banked on. The 35-year-old “Amores Perros” break out star and cross-over talent is even OSCAR bound, by some accounts.

Beauty Julianne Moore has started shooting “Freeheld,” around NYC. The film is based on the OSCAR winning documentary of the same title, depicting the battle of a lesbian couple’s fight for equality. It gave us the opportunity of approaching the blonde beauty and asking for a few shots as she took a break from filming interior scenes of the long-running NBC cop drama, presently entering its 16th season. Law and Order: SVU is one of the few shows we will readily admit to watching. True that we end up watching marathon segments of the long running cop drama, as opposed to being home on its regularly scheduled weekly programming, but who is going to quibble?

Terry Crews is a favorite of ours. No lying – we are ardent fans of his and find that he embodies many attributes one hopes to find in a celebrity – being a nice guy among them.
