Matthias Schoenaerts: Animal Rescue Brooklyn
Posted by Native NYker in animal rescue film set, celebrities, celebrity nude, entertainment, film set, filming, matthias schoenaerts, noomi rapace on April 8, 2013
Looking for a celebrity can often feel like you are knee deep in that retro-throwback flick “looking for Mr. Good Bar.” At other times it can somewhat feel like running into an old friend – that you no longer speak to. Case and point: Animal Rescue Brooklyn set.
We happened on just missing our intended target – Noomi Rapace – in a hot pink top and stilettos by the narrowest of seconds. Girl caught wind that we were after a photo and made like she saw an ex-BFF and hightailed it to her awaiting car as if she hadn’t seen us at all.
We then blinked and stumbled upon Belgian hotness Matthias Schoenaerts.
But unlike the first time we laid eyes on this strapping import in Washington Heights with Zoe Saldana, where he was receptive to our lens, the time time he to was a bit more stand-offish. As if we were merely a one night stand grounded in momentary carnal desire. Read the rest of this entry »
Noomi Rapace: Animal Rescue Film Set

At times one gets lucky visiting a film set. Don’t know how it happens but it does. The Animal Rescue set, presently filming on location throughout Brooklyn and Queens, starring Tom Hardy and Noomi Rapace, happened to be one of those times. We arrived minutes before the talent came on – one after the other – to film an exterior scene with their puppy.
It doesn’t get better than that y’all. Read the rest of this entry »
Dylan McDermott: Hostages Film Set

We heard of Dylan McDermott stopping in Yonkers, NY to film a new CBS pilot called “Hostages,” costarring Toni Collette, yesterday, and we thought ‘why not give it a go.’ Aren’t we glad we did! A quick stop by and shortly after arriving the strapping lad, script in hand, surfaced and proceeded to make his way to the set.
We have been ardent admirers of tall, dark and deep voiced hottie for sometime now and, as we stood snapping away, the thought of all the things we’d like to do to him immediately came to mind. Sue us, we think he is all types of naughty looking.
We then we arrived at wondering how is it that this man hasn’t become the poster boy for beauty incarnate. Read the rest of this entry »

Shailene Woodley, of The Secret Life of The American Teenager and The Descendants fame, can be presently found on the set of the currently filming follow up to the blockbuster creepy-crawley flick re-boot “The Amazing Spider-Man II.” The role: Mary Jane. Co-stars: Andrew Garfield and all around talent and beauty Emma Stone. (Cheers, applause, accolades!)
It’s gotta be bittersweet for her right about now.
Sure, on the one hand its quite a coup to land yourself in the thick of a guaranteed hit. No doubt something to be gleeful about. Read the rest of this entry »
Andrew Garfield: Amazing Spider-Man 2 Film Set

Andrew Garfield attempts to hide behind his hoodie while on the set of The Amazing Spider-Man 2 (London Calling,) in NYC
What a difference having a box-office hit like the Spider-Man re-boot can make to the general disposition of an otherwise recently unknown up-and-comer like Andrew Garfield. Seriously y’all. On one of the first exterior day-shoots, of on-location filming for the highly anticipated follow up to the hugely successful The Amazing Spider-Man, in the Meat Packing district of NYC, Garfield played the evasive and stand-offish star to little end. Some would say even going as far as working overtime to keep from, not only interaction with fans but photographers alike – all of whom were anxious to get an opportunity of catching a glimpse and/or shooting the first look of the new costume debut in the current production.
(See our collection of Garfield photos after the jump…) Read the rest of this entry »

Angela Bassett photographed on the set of Langston Hughes’ Black Nativity currently filming on location in NYC.
There are some folks that we cannot deny being die hard admirers of… Angela Bassett and Forest Whitaker easily make the list. Without a doubt two of the most talented actors around. That’s fact. These two have joined forces – along with Jennifer Hudson and Jacob Latimore (not pictured) – to bring Langston Hughes’ Black Nativity classic to the big screen. The film is slated for a 2014 release and makes for a mandatory ‘save the date’ must see note. And perhaps it will arrive early enough for the x-mas end of the year season. Mariska Hargitay: SVU Yonkers Set Exclusive

Mariska Hargitay braves the North-East arctic blast to film scenes of Law and Order: SVU in Yonkers, NY
Without a doubt, the nicest celebrity EVER mention goes to Mariska Hargitay of Law & Order: SVU. She is just simply the nicest person – say nothing of hard working. We’ve watched Hargitay do take after take of a scene, take a spill on a chase and dust herself off and get back to it as if nothings happened – in scorching NYC temperatures.
We’ve also watched her, as in the case of the above photo, brave this here cold blast the North-East has been experiencing and make like its nothing more than a bed of roses, with a few icicles left over as they march onto Spring.
That woman is a trooper!
We might also point out that she does it all with a smile and a wave for all her fans and the following photographers alike. And it’s not as if she has to!
This begs the question and wondering if her malleable disposition is something attributed to her iconic mom Jayne Mansfield…? Cuz let’s face it Old-Hollywood knew how to charm snakes.
We swung by the Yonkers, NY stop of SVU’s on-location shoots and managed to get a few frames of long running drama headliner and marveled at her sweet disposition even as wind chill’s brought the temps down into single digits.
Girl, write a book… Cuz there are lesser talented folks out there with bigger tudes and wretched dispositions in the face of the very same…
Well, we won’t get too into that and just say ‘we love and appreciate you Ms. Hargitay!’
We still wonder if she misses her old co-star Chris Meloni, but the weather was too dire to get any words out past a quick “thank you!” and a slow moving sprint back to our car! Next time…
Colin Farrell: A Winter’s Tale in Central Park
Posted by Native NYker in a winters tale, central park, colin farrell, jennifer connelly, on location, on set on January 16, 2013
We have been jonesing to get a few clicks on hotness Colin Farrell on the set of A Winter’s Tale. And yesterday afternoon, we got out fix. Word came later of the set taking residence in Central Park and no sooner had we read the last line of its locale and we were out the door in a sprint.
To our great surprise, Farrell’s co-star Jennifer Connelly was also in attendance. Two for one as it were. Read the rest of this entry »
James McAvoy: Disappearance of Eleanor Rigby Chelsea Set
Posted by Native NYker in james mcavoy, the disappearance of eleanor rigby film set on July 16, 2012

James McAvoy photographed on the NYC set of The Disappearance of Eleanor Rigby.
The British are coming! The British are coming! No, they aren’t really, we just like the way that sounds. It has a certain declarative happy ending tone to it. But were we to apply it to this post it would have to be geographically correct, like ‘The Scottish are Coming!’ And we don’t mind admitting that this would be altogether an unwelcome sentiment given we are referring to the wholesome-hotness of James McAvoy.
We’ve had a thing for McAvoy for some years now – lost count we have – but our penchant for a taste never wavers. We seldom get to lay our eyes on the yumness that he is, until now.
With his new role in “The Disappearance of Eleanor Rigby,” a two-parted film being told from both the male and female perspective, presently filming on location in NYC, we couldn’t help but saunter our skinny ass on over by the set for a peep.
Yes, we are that easy that laying our eyes on gets us close to a happy ending! Sue us.
But we thought our world would end when we learned that, upon arriving to the Chelsea location, we had only just missed an exterior walking scene shoot. Tears gathered and everything!
But lo and behold, a few minutes in and out walks the man as if with a halo above his head and his feet barely touching the ground.
Ok, we may be taking a few liberties there but were we afforded such we’d gladly carry his ass back to his trailer and lay him down ourselves.
Don’t you dare judge us!
Dakota Fanning and Elizabeth Olsen: Very Good Girls Brighton Set
Posted by Native NYker in brighton beach, dakota fanning, demi moore, elizabeth olsen, very good girls film set on July 13, 2012

Dakota Fanning and Elizabeth Olsen film Very Good Girls on the streets of Brighton Beach – Brooklyn.
The set of Very Good Girls parked themselves in Brighton Beach – Brooklyn, yesterday to film scenes with Dakota Fanning and her co-star Elizabeth Olsen. And before you ask – NO, Demi Moore was not on set! Good times with youngsters, you might chirp. And some folks would immediately heed the want to chime in. But how wrong you all would be. Well, it was a good time but not due to the two on hand, we make our own fun. In truth the two darlings were less than receptive to the hoard of photogs trawling the exterior set while they repeatedly filmed a scene on a local street corner.
‘Who can blame them,’ you might want to throw in at this point. As many do right before they run up to the celeb – camera phone in hand – requesting a photo with the available star… But that’s a different posting altogether.
Fanning is someone we truly have a soft spot for having watched her – both on screen and on red carpets for many a year – go from an awkward child star to a tall coming of age young one. Talent intact.
But this preexisting history has a tendency of letting the mind play tricks on reality. (We never said we were grounded in it, dammit!) It’s like you think that by having watched said youngster grow before your eyes, they have somehow retained the sweet child qualities they once had or will somehow know how much you have admired their accomplishments. A bit unbalanced, for sure! You don’t rightly know them from Adam, but still your mind persists on playing that trick on you.
And so when the party at hand goes and gets all testy and snarly, you can’t help the reflex response of going ‘wow!’
But to clarify on who we attempt to refer to with this mental fart we mean Dakota Fanning, for certain. Cuz we don’t know two cents worth of anything Elizabeth Olsen did before her famous family name procured her an agent and tabloid attention. And if you are having trouble identifying who her counter parts are just think Troll looking twin sisters and you will have identified the culprits. And Liz… Thank you for flipping us the bird! You are all class act you are. Our agency appreciates the gesture.
