This is sure to be a new take on facing your own humility! OSCAR winning actress Reese Witherspoon defies the conventional going into hiding after her and her hubby James Toth were arrested in Atlanta, Georgia for DUI, and embraces her humility by jetting to NYC to attend the Mud premiere at MoMA.
This brazen act of “mea culpa” is assuredly going to make a whole lot of folks think twice about letting their publicists take the lead in spin control. And we love her all the more for it.

Matthew McConaughey, Sally Field, Rachel Weisz, James Gandolfini and Michael Shannon – the few folks we had the opportunity of snapping a few frames of the NY Film Critics Circle Awards, held at Crimson. The folks we weren’t afforded? Daniel Craig, Kathryn Bigelow – who raced out of her SUV and into the restaurant as if the tax man was after her, Daniel Day Lewis and Jessica Chastain – who was utilizing her day off from starring in The Heiress to attend a variety of scheduled events around Gotham.
Occasionally, we marvel at celebrity stamina. But then we recall that they are paid to promote themselves and keep their names in the public’s eyes. We reckon we’d enjoy days of nothing but gym and lunch appointments too…
We are also left baffled, at times, when the gods of the big screen undertake going thru extreme measures for the sake of a role. Case and point: McConaughey who is presently filming Dallas Buyers Club, opposite Jared Leto, in where he plays an AIDS patient circumventing the US FDA regulations and importing meds from alternate countries and then making them available to club members. Channing Tatum: Magic Mike Settles in Second Place

Here’s a Debbie downer for your Monday morning. Channing Tatum’s Magic Mike – the do good’er stripper romance flick, starring a bevy of hotness, including Matt Bomer, Adam Rodriguez and Matthew McConaughey, opened in second place after a whirlwind of promotional appearances by cast members. Box office tallies place estimated earnings at the $39.16 million mark.
Not anything to sneeze at but certainly not something to light up either given the magnitude of celebrity in the cast.
We haven’t headed out to catch the flick as yet – scheduled to attend on Tuesday – but one has to wonder about the outcome not receiving more fan fare given its sexual premise.
Did we wake up in a parallel universe? When the hell did sex stop selling? Or is it just that there isn’t enough of the sex to sell the flick?
Hmmmm…
The answer to this and more pressing questions – such as are the g-strings tell-tale signs of whats packing and how tight that ass is – will be afforded after attending Tuesday. Stay tuned.
In the mean while, feast your eyes on the beauty that is Tatum with this hear roundup of pics of hotness accompanied by a video of his pristine performance shaking that fine ass.

Channing Tatum’s highly anticipated Magic Mike is on the horizon. And boy are we excited about the bunch of stripping eye candy set to grace the big screen! We thought to await the countdown with this here round-up of the stills from the flick set to arrive later this summer…
The preview for the film looks a classic Tatum feel good love story and the male cast – Matt Bomer, Matthew McConnaughey, Adam Rodriguez, Joe Manganiello et al look like a walking wet dream.
